Two-time Pro Bowl cornerback DeAngelo Hall, cut on Wednesday by Oakland and signed by Washington on Saturday, said that in his haste to get out of Atlanta after the miserable 2007 season, he made a mistake by taking the money from the dysfunctional Oakland Raiders in March instead of pondering his options. The Chesapeake, Va. native, who starred at Virginia Tech, said he’s thrilled to be “home” with the Redskins.


Curiously, cornerbacks coach Jerry Gray said he hasn’t watched Hall’s film from the Raiders and doens’t plan to.
