The Redskins can’t be feeling good that they’re conducting their last physical practice of the week and five starters aren’t in pads. And not just any five starters. Those just watching include NFL rushing leader Clinton Portis, five-time Pro Bowl tackle Chris Samuels, red-hot cornerback Carlos Rogers, active NFL sacks leader Jason Taylor and safety Chris Horton, their top rookie.

Running back Shaun Alexander and safety Mike Green, who practiced for the first time as Redskins on Wednesday, have already switched from Nos. 35 to 37 and Nos. 23 to No. 25, respectively.
