Frost a Packer

It didn’t take our pal Derrick Frost long to find a job after being dumped by the Redskins on Saturday in favor of rookie Durant Brooks. Frost signed with Green Bay today, replacing Jon Ryan as the Packers’ punter.

Frost couldn’t have impressed the Packers too much in Washington’s visit to Lambeau Field last Oct. 14. Admittedly on a wet day that wasn’t good for the kicking game, Frost began the slide that wouldn’t really stop that afternoon. After averaging between 38.5 and 42.1 yards net in his first four games, Frost averaged just 34.9 net in Green Bay and only topped 38.5 twice the rest of the season.

And Frost will have to change numbers. No. 4 is kinda taken forever in Green Bay. Guy named Favre wore it the past 16 years.
