Just finished chatting with old pal LaVar Arrington, who worked the pregame show for ComcastSportsNet. Arrington looks good except for a bulging non-repaired ligament in his right arm. Arrington would only be in his ninth season, but his career ended with a ruptured Achilles’ tendon while he was playing for the New York Giants in October 2006, eight months after being cut loose by the Redskins. Hard to believe it’s been five years since Arrington made his third straight Pro Bowl for Washington. The former face of the franchise said his sports restaurant, not far from FedEx Field, is doing well and that he’s there every day.
