Appearing on ESPN-980, owner Dan Snyder just said the Redskins won’t trade their first-round pick in 2010 tomorrow in order to get USC quarterback Mark Sanchez or anyone else.

“We’re not trading next year’s No. 1,” Snyder said, noting that the only time his Redskins have done that was in 2005 to get quarterback Jason Campbell.

Snyder then cited Washington’s fine track record of first-round picks, mentioning offensive tackle Chris Samuels, safeties Sean Taylor and LaRon Landry and cornerback Carlos Rogers.

Of course, all four of those guys — and linebacker LaVar Arrington, whom Snyder mentioned during Wednesday’s pre-draft press conference, were all top 10 picks. Washington is scheduled to choose 13th tomorrow.
