Campbell reacts to Leftwich

Here’s Jason Campbell’s reaction to the news that the Redskins worked out former Jacksonville starter Byron Leftwich on Friday, the same day that team owner Dan Snyder and front office boss Vinny Cerrato tried to reassure Campbell that he’s still their guy although they had tried to trade him the previous day.

“I was informed [about Leftwich’s workout],” Campbell said in a text message. “It doesn’t bother me. Every team works out free agent quarterbacks for their own reasons.”

Backup quarterback Todd Collins declined comment. Third-stringer Colt Brennan couldn’t be reached.
