Last morning of camp report

Pro Bowl tight end Chris Cooley and starting defensive end Phillip Daniels returned this morning after sitting out on Tuesday with minor ailments. Only offensive tackles Mike Williams (ankle) and Devin Clark (knee) and running back Anthony Alridge (toe) didn’t work.

The team portion of practice began with defensive end Andre Carter tipping Jason Campbell’s pass into the hands of London Fletcher, who returned it for a touchdown, just the kind of play that defensive coordinator Greg Blache had said on Tuesday that the 12th-year middle linebacker needs more of to finally get to the Pro Bowl.

However, Campbell got revenge on the defense not long thereafter, hitting Cooley in stride for a pretty completion downfield.

Seventh-round receiver Marko Mitchell wound up being the star of the morning, toasting third-round cornerback Kevin Barnes on a deep route and showing his great hands with a snag across the middle against starting cornerback Carlos Rogers.
