Rock has sore groin

Kickoff return specialist Rock Cartwright didn’t practice today because of a sore groin.

“It’s been bothering me all during training camp, but it’s got worse the last couple of days so I had to sit out,” Cartwright said. “You gotta be smart about it.”

Cartwright isn’t sure if he’ll play Friday against New England. Neither is starting cornerback Carlos Rogers, who’s sidelined again with a strained calf that kept him out for a week earlier this summer.
