The Redskins were stunning the unbeaten Saints 17-10. Brian Orakpo had just stopped Reggie Bush for no gain on third-and-1 when the home team was done in by mistakes by young backup defensive backs.

First, rookie cornerback Kevin Barnes was hit in the back by Thomas Morstead’s punt. Usama Young recovered for New Orleans at the Washington 41. Then on third-and-26, second-year safety Kareem Moore picked off Drew Brees’ bomb into triple coverage but had the ball taken out of his hands by Robert Meachem, who raced 44 yards for the tying touchdown.
