As if the Redskins’ cornerback situation wasn’t complicated enough with Shawn Springs’ looming 34th birthday and massive salary cap hit, Carlos Rogers’ unhappiness and possible trade and DeAngelo Hall’s impending free agency, it turns out that Hall has two agents.

While some reports have cited Joel Segal as Hall’s agent, Alvin Keels is listed as the agent of record by the NFLPA.

Keels told me he’s “the one doing the deal.” Keels explained that Segal had been Hall’s agent when he was drafted eighth overall by Atlanta in 2004 and that he wanted his former representative to get a piece of this assuredly more lucrative contract.

Hall was traded to Oakland last offseason and joined the Redskins in November after being cut by the Raiders; the Raiders cut him loose just eight games into a seven-year, $72 million contract — a deal also negotiated by Segal.
