Golston, Montgomery tendered

The Redskins just covered themselves in case they don’t win Friday’s early morning bidding war for Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth by tendering offers to Kedric Golston and Anthony Montgomery.

That makes the defensive tackles both restricted free agents, meaning the Redskins have the right to match any offers they receive.

However, it also leaves Washington with only about $8 million in cap room for Haynesworth despite the late $4.5 million leaguewide increase. Will that be enough to land the Tennessee star?
