Davis on time today

Tight end Fred Davis’ most famous, or shall we say infamous, moment of his rookie year came when he missed the last day of minicamp because he apparently overslept.

The second-round draft choice from Southern Cal not only apologized to his coaches and teammates, he had to do a public mea culpa.

So it had to be a relief to Davis that he made it through this minicamp without incident. In fact, coach Jim Zorn said that Davis was in his office this morning to talk football and continually praised his progress since his non-factor (one catch) rookie season.
