It’s raining again in Ashburn, but the Redskins are on the field for the start of organized team activities.

The Redskins have signed defensive end J.D. Skolnitsky, a rookie free agent from James Madison, to a 3-year contract. Skolnitsky tested positive for a banned supplement following a playoff game against Villanova in December and was declared Skolnitsky ineligible by the NCAA for 2009, hence his easy decision to turn pro.

There should be more signings later today.

New punter Hunter Smith isn’t here for OTAs. He had told the Redskins he had other commitments that would keep him away.
