Rinehart back at RG for Redskins

Just got back upstairs from the locker room and there was actually a little news.

Will Montgomery, the starter at right guard the last three games, said he’s been replaced by Chad Rinehart.

Coach Jim Zorn doesn’t talk until after practice so if he doesn’t confirm, I’ll change course. This has been a wild year in terms of players not being informed of promotions/demotions/new roles.

Rinehart, the former third round pick, started the Detroit and Tampa Bay games after Randy Thomas was lost for the year with a torn triceps.

“I’d rather be playing than not be playing for sure,” Montgomery said.

Rinehart wasn’t spotted during the open locker room period.

And here’s the Redskins starting OL for Sunday:

RT: Stephon Heyer. Has shifted from right tackle to left tackle (Chris Samuels’ injury) and now back to right tackle (Mike Williams’ injury).

RG: Rinehart. Four players have gotten starts at the position and Rinehart returns after being inactive three straight games.

C: Casey Rabach. Hasn’t missed a snap this year.

LG: Derrick Dockery. Hasn’t missed a snap but hasn’t exactly thrived in his return to D.C.

LT: Levi Jones. Signed off the street two weeks ago. Has starting experience, but has played just one snap this year.
