Tight end Chris Cooley was back on Thursday, but six other players remained sidelined for practice.
Cooley was back after attending his grandfather’s funeral in Wyoming. Safeties Chris Horton and Kareem Moore were well enough to attend practice, but they weren’t allowed to work as they recover from high fevers.
Running back Clinton Portis and defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth watched while resting their sprained ankles. Defensive tackle Cornelius Griffin did the same with his sprained elbow.
All six of the absentees played last week against Kansas City and figure to do so again on Monday against Philadelphia, an NFC East game and the Redskins’ last contest until they return from their bye week on Nov. 8 at Atlanta.
