Portis starts, usual inactives

As expected, running back Clinton Portis will start for the Redskins despite a tender calf that kept him out of practice all week.

So Washington’s inactive list doesn’t include any surprises. Defensive linemen Anthony Montgomery (knee) and Renaldo Wynn, offensive linemen D’Anthony Batiste and Edwin Williams, linebacker Robert Henson and cornerback Kevin Barnes are inactive as they have been all season.

Receiver Marko Mitchell and running back Anthony Alridge, neither of whom has touched the ball this year, are also inactive.
