Defensive tackle Anthony Montgomery has yet to play this season after being the top backup last year and starting in 2007 and expects to miss another two weeks with roughness in his right knee.

Montgomery said the knee started hurting when he got rolled up during a training camp practice and hasn’t really improved.

“Every time I think it’s feeling a little better and I go out there, I set myself back,” said Montgomery, who was inactive for the opener even though he wasn’t on the injury list.

However. Montgomery, who’ll be a free agent this winter, said he’s not worried that the Redskins will get tired of waiting for his knee to heal and put him on injured reserve.
