Suisham will miss the Meadowlands

Few Redskins will miss Giants Stadium, where they were 11-23 alltime including losses in five of the past six games. Although the stadium is infamous for being tough on kickers because of its swirling winds, Washington’s Shaun Suisham will miss the place.

Why not? He’s 9-for-9 on field goal tries in Giants Stadium.

Suisham enjoyed a career day there on Nov. 4, 2007 when he nailed all five of his field goal attempts — four from 40 yards and beyond — including the 46-yarder that beat the New York Jets in overtime. But six weeks later against the Giants …

“It was so windy I had to have staff hold for me during warmups because [holder Derrick Frost] wouldn’t,” said Suisham, who made a 26-yarder last Sunday on his final field goal attempt there unless the Redskins visit the Giants in the NFC playoffs. “But I’ll miss kicking there. That place has been good to me.”
