Nemo resurfaces with Giants

A day after the Redskins signed quarterback Andre Woodson to their practice squad off waivers from the Giants, New York did a semi-tit-for-tat by signing fullback Nehemiah Broughton to its practice squad off waivers from Minnesota.

Broughton played sparingly in just six games for the Redskins, but he was a near-fixture at Redskins Park. Last summer was the fourth and final one in Washington for the fullback whom the team chose in the seventh round of the 2005 draft.

So as Woodson helps Redskins defensive coordinator Greg Blache prepare for the Giants and Kevin Gilbride’s offense on Sunday, Broughton can fill in new Giants defensive boss Bill Sheridan about Jim Zorn’s scheme.
