Two days after Nationals pitcher Chien-Ming Wang apologized for an eight-month extramarital affair, the saga has gone animated.

Yes, Next Media Animation, the Taiwanese company that produces animated shorts explaining everything from Tiger Woods’ affairs to fighting in the NHL playoffs, has taken on Wang. The two-minute, 17-second video includes an animated Wang singing karaoke and walking on the beach.

Wang’s popularity in Taiwan remains enormous, even after parts of three seasons plagued by injuries. After Monday’s press conference, Wang’s announcement was front page news in Taiwan. And Acer, one of Wang’s endorsements, said it would re-evaluate its relationship with the pitcher.

Wang, meanwhile, continues recovering from a pulled left hamstring in Viera, Fla. He’s scheduled to throw 65 pitches Saturday for Single-A Potomac in his first rehab start.
