Last month, Procter and Gamble made headlines when it struck a five-year deal to be a major sponsor of the NFL.

Now, the company is getting into the Olympics game.

P&G announced that it will be an official sponsor of the U.S. Olympic teams at the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver and the 2012 Summer Games in London. Forbes reported that the deal is worth $10 million.

Under the deal, the company will be the exclusive sponsors in several product categories, including personal and beauty products; household cleaning products; oral care products; pre-packaged potato snacks; and
cold, flu and stomach remedies.

Procter and Gamble owns many of the most popular brands of household goods and personal care products, including Gillette, Pampers, Crest and Oral-B.
