John McCain can’t go more than one campaign stop without hearing the words of wisdom former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele coined at the Republican National Convention.
Whenever McCain calls for the country to “drill now” in his stump speech, someone in the crowd — no matter if he’s in Florida, Ohio or Colorado, starts up the chant of “Drill, baby, drill.”
Saturday morning in Albuquerque, McCain let the chant go on a bit longer than usual, then wondered, “I don’t know who thought of that one, but it sure has caught on.”
