UPI is reporting that AZ State Representative Frank Pratt was beaten and tied up in his place of business on Christmas day by an attacker who fled in a truck:

The attacker was apparently inside Pratt’s swimming pool business when the incident occurred, CNN reported.

The lawmaker’s wife found her husband more than four hours after the attack on Christmas Day, Casa Grande police said.

The Republican lawmaker had gone to check on his swimming pool business and when he didn’t return in about an hour, his wife, Janice Pratt, went to check on him. When she didn’t see his truck, she left.

Mr. Pratt was treated for his injuries at the scene and is reportedly in stable condition at a Phoenix area hospital. Reports say that police are looking for a gold 2007 GMC Yukon that the perpetrator stole from the Arizona lawmaker.
