In the Arkansas Democratic Senate primary race, incumbent Blanche Lincoln faces a June 8 run-off election against her opponent Lt. Gov. Bill Halter. Lincoln failed to win a majority of votes, garnering 45% compared to Halter’s 43% and D.C. Morrison’s 13%.
Blue Hog Report doubts that Lincoln met the legal qualifications for requesting an absentee ballot. Since Lincoln and her husband both requested absentee ballots, they voted by provisional ballot on Tuesday.
The Tolbert Report points out that Lincoln’s campaign has pulled down their DollarBillHalter.com website, among a wealth of other coverage:
“Sen. Blanche Lincoln for Senate campaign pulled down the DollarBillHalter.com website a day after the primary ended in a three week runoff. The site now directs to a Lincoln for Senate fact check page. Halter had called for this in a debate several weeks back after he pulled down his BailoutBlanche.com website and called for Lincoln to do the same. At that time, she refused.”
