Herman Cain has long made it clear he has his eyes set on the presidency and according to an inside source, Mr. Cain may announce at the CORE (Congress of Racial Equality)Dinner in New York City next Monday his intention to run for the Republican nomination for the President of the United States in 2012.

“They have not decided if he’s going to announce at the dinner. There’s a raging debate taking place at the highest levels. He’ll be making several media appearances this week, preparing the way for a potential announcement Monday,” a highly placed source in Mr.Cain’s inner circle said.

The formal dinner affair is expecting Republican Florida Congressman Allen West, internet mogul Andrew Breitbart, pro-life activist Alveda King, radio talk show host Michael Reagan, and the National Rifle Association’s Wayne LaPierre. The event will be held at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers. Founded in 1942, CORE’s headquarters is in New York City and chaired by Roy Innis.
