  • GREEN: Twitter used to silence conservatives?

    Conservative Chris Loesch, music producer and husband of radio host and CNN contributor Dana Loesch, had his Twitter account suspended on Sunday. He was apparently targeted by leftist users who utilized the "Block & Report Spam" function to trigger the social media account's automatic spam algorithm. He was notified of his suspension via an email from Twitter claiming it was due to multiple unsolicited mentions to other users. "You will need to change your behavior to continue using Twitter," the email admonished. Published April 30 2012

    The White House Correspondents Dinner on Saturday night brought out not only media celebrities but also their critics. The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic gathered outside of the Washington Hilton and heckled attendees who walked past them or drove by. The group is known to do this every year for the past 13 WHCD's.     Congressman Trey Gowdy, South Carolina Republican, appeared on Fox News Channel's On the Record with Greta Van Susteren Thursday night and said that Attorney General Eric Holder must comply with the subpoena to put forth all the documents relating to the Fast and Furious gun walking operation before Memorial Day or the AG will face contempt charges that have already been drawn up.   • PICKET: Another Secret Service scandal surfaces in El Salvador

    The Secret Service sex scandal that arose in Cartagena, Colombia is beginning to open doors to other stories of a similar nature. According to Seattle-based Investigative Reporter Chris of KIRO TV, U.S. Secret Service agents regularly bragged about their sexual romps with prostitutes while out of the country on assignment for the president.     Members of the Senate Armed Services Committee will be briefed by defense department personnel on Wednesday regarding the Secret Service sex scandal that has caused the resignations of six agents.     It did not take long for death threats to arise on Twitter against George Zimmerman, his family, lawyer, and Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester, who allowed Zimmerman to be released on $150,000 bond. After being fitted with a GPS monitoring device, Mr. Zimmerman left the Seminole County Jail in Sanford at midnight Monday morning. Published April 23 2012

  • PICKET: Nugent responds

    The Rock and Roll gun toting guitar legend Ted Nugent became embroiled in a politically incorrect controversy when he told attendees at the National Rifle Association Convention in St. Louis "If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year." The U.S. Secret Service met with Mr. Nugent over his remarks and was cleared by the agency. Nugent wrote an op-ed for the Washington Times Opinion Page responding to his critics and the uproar of his comments. Published April 20 2012

    Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner appeared on CBS's "Face the Nation" on Sunday and went after remarks made by Mitt Romney, who said that women make up the majority of the jobs lost during Obama's first term. Geithner called the assertion "misleading and ridiculous." Published April 15 2012

    U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder addressed Reverend Al Sharpton’s National Action Network (NAN) on Wednesday. A.G. Holder focused on both the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin and the voter ID laws the Justice Department is currently challenging. He led off describing the work the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ Sanford, Florida--the area of the Trayvon Martin shooting. George Zimmerman, the man who claimed to have fatally shot Martin in self-defense, was charged with second degree murder on Wednesday and is in custody. Published April 11 2012

  • PICKET: NBC's latest editing 'mistake' follows a history of similar mistakes

    According to the New York Times, an NBC source said on Friday that a "seasoned" producer who edited sound of the 911 call between George Zimmerman and a 911 dispatcher was fired. The producer, who remains nameless, edited a video segment included the 911 call before Zimmerman shot and killed 17 year-old Trayvon Martin on February 26. Zimmerman claimed self-defense.
