  San Francisco's KPIX TV CBS 5 just released a new poll that may very well concern this Obama campaign. The news station is reporting that Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney gained eight points on Obama in the Golden State. Published October 11 2012

  Masked gunmen fatally shot a a Yemeni man who worked at the U.S. embassy in Sanaa on Thursday Reuters is reporting. Published October 11 2012

• PICKET: Media obsession for GOP VP nominees in workout gear

  Almost a month after the 2008 vice presidential debate between then Senator Joe Biden and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, Newsweek ran a cover story photo of the Republican vice presidential nominee in her workout clothes. Newsweek commissioned the photo from Runners World, the magazine she posed for originally. Palin was not happy about the photo was used and she was summarily mocked for it anyway.   Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney is closing in on President Barack Obama's lead in the state of Connecticut according to the latest Rasmussen poll. Rasmussen now says that Obama now has a six point lead over Romney. Published October 9 2012

  The Obama campaign is running a television ad showing three convicted finance executives who are supposed to represent the greed of Republican party, because Presidential nominee Mitt Romney wants to cut the subsidy that goes towards the Public Broadcasting Service, which airs the children's television program "Sesame Street. • PICKET: Rep. Matheson remains silent on Eric Holder and down in the polls

  Mia Love, the Republican nominee for Utah's 4th Congressional District, has pulled ahead of Democratic incumbent Rep. Jim Matheson in the polls. According to the latest Desert News/ KSL, Love, the mayor of Saratoga Springs, is polling 6 points ahead of Congressman Matheson. Published October 9 2012

  The Wall Street Journal's Stephen Moore has just come out with a new book titled Who's the Fairest of Them All?: The Truth about Opportunity, Taxes, and Wealth in America and he reveals some interesting information about how much the top ten percent of income earners in the United States pay in federal income taxes as opposed to any other industrialized nation in the world.   Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore was disappointed with President Barack Obama's performance at the first debate at the University of Denver on Wednesday night, and he made his views known on Twitter to his over one million one hundred thousand followers. Moore was also angry with PBS debate moderator Jim Lehrer, saying that "[Clint] Eastwood's chair would do a better job moderating..." Published October 4 2012

  President Barack Obama referenced corporate jet owners during a discussion on taxes at the Denver debate on Wednesday when he said, "If you've got a corporate jet, you can probably afford to pay full freight." This is not the first time the president criticized private jet owners. During a June 29, 2011 press conference he went after private jet owners and mentioned them six times.
