Even as pundits continue to bash Sarah Palin as a “has been” or worse, a painstaking university study reveals exactly how much her words were worth as a Fox News commentator.

“Sarah Palin uttered more than 189,000 words over 150 appearances on various FOX broadcasts during her three years as an analyst at the network, or $15.85 per word,’ says an analysis from the University of Minnesota released Monday, following news that the former Alaska governor had parted ways with the network.

The calculations are based on reports at Mrs. Palin was paid $1 million during the three-year contract period, which began in mid-January, 2010 and ended last week. She appeared at least once every seven days, primarily in interviews with Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren.

Faith was part of her style. According to the study, Mrs. Palin said “Amen” 111 times. She said “God” 57 times, Christians and Christianity 16 times, Moses three times, and Jesus once.

Mrs. Palin also mentioned President Obama by name 786 times and Ronald Reagan 41 times.

“She only said her patented ‘you betcha’ line twice as a FOX employee, and both during her first month as a paid analyst,” says the study, which was conducted by the Center for the Study of Politics and Governance on the campus.

No matter what her critics say, Sarah Palin is not done yet, however.

“I encourage others to step out in faith, jump out of the comfort zone, and broaden our reach as believers in American exceptionalism. That means broadening our audience. I’m taking my own advice here as I free up opportunities to share more broadly the message of the beauty of freedom and the imperative of defending our republic and restoring this most exceptional nation,” Mrs. Palin told Breitbart News on Saturday.

“We can’t just preach to the choir; the message of liberty and true hope must be understood by a larger audience,” she said, adding “I was raised to never retreat and to pick battles wisely, and all in due season. When it comes to defending our republic, we haven’t begun to fight. But we delight in those who underestimate us.”
