With 8:48 left in the second quarter, Wizards guard John Wall, Heat forward Juwan Howard and Heat center Zydrunas Ilgauskas were all ejected from the Wizards – Heat game on Wednesday night at Verizon Center. All received Flagrant 2 fouls.
From all appearances, Ilgauskas caught Wall with an elbow, twice, and then Wall followed with another elbow, or possibly a punch, back at Ilgauskas. Howard joined the fray by trying land an elbow on JaVale McGee.
Play was stopped for several minutes as both coaches came onto the court and the officials consulted the replay footage several times before making the foul calls and the ejections.
