The Wizards (17-46) will play the Charlotte Bobcats (7-56) for the fourth and final time this season, and are going for a 4-0 season sweep of the most woeful team in the league.

The Bobcats are approaching historical futility. The Bobcats have lost 20 straight games. With three games left in the season, the Bobcats need to win one of those final game to escape the worst losing percentage since the 9-73 Philadelphia 76ers, back in the 1972-73 season. The percentage for that team was .110.

The Wizards are on a three-game winning streak, and are hoping to win out in their final three games, which would be their longest streak of the season. The wins are possible – with the Bobcats on Monday, the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, and the Miami Heat on Thursday. The Heat will likely be resting all their starters for that final game of the regular season.

Earlier this month, Jordan Crawford said it was his goal for the team to win 20 games. The Wizards had 13 games left in the season, and at the time, an 8-5 finish seemed unlikely.

Now, it actually seems possible.
