Wizards point guard John Wall will participate in the Skills Challenge during All-Star Weekend, beginning Friday in Orlando. Wall was among last year’s competitors in a timed event that resembles an obstacle course.

The players have to dribble the ball, pass into a net, and make shots from different shooting stations. The three players with the fastest times from the first round will advance to the finals. Last year’s winer was Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry.

Wall will be competing against Curry, Kyrie Irving (Cavaliers), Tony Parker (Spurs), Russell Westbrook (Thunder) and Deron Williams (Nets).

The Skills Competition is part of All-Star Saturday Night, which also includes the Shooting Stars, Three-Point Contest, and the Slam Dunk Competition.

The Rookie-Sophomore Challenge, now known as the Rising Stars Challenge, will take place on Friday night and the All-Game is Sunday night.

Wall will also be a part of the Rising Stars challenge; his second straight appearance in both events. In the Rising Stars Challenge, Wall be a member of Team Chuck, the team selected by NBA TNT analyst Charles Barkley. Team Chuck will compete against Team Shaq, the team chosen by TNT NBA analyst Shaquille O’Neal.
