Saunders shakes up his starting lineup

For the second straight game, rookie forward Chris Singleton will get the start against the Toronto Raptors, and in what is being called a game time decision, forward Trevor Booker has been penciled into the starting lineup in place of Andray Blatche.

Blatche has a sore right shoulder, Lewis a sore right knee.

“We’ll adjust our lineup, yes,” Saunders said a little more than an hour before game time when he addressed the media. Saunders confirmed that Lewis was expected to play, but not start, and expected Maurice Evans to play as well.

Asked specifically about the presence of his defensive stoppers, Singleton and Booker, Saunders called it a “Catch 22.”

“We’ve been better defensively this year. For the first time in probably six or seven year, we’ve been holding team to under 100 points. We’ve got to find a way to getter better offensively, but what you hope happens when you play Booker and Singleton is they’re going to give you energy, and you’re going to score out of your defense.”

“Then what you hope happens is a guy like Nick [Young] can get it going and we score more in open transition type plays.”
