Turiaf undergoes surgery

Wizards backup center Ronny Turiaf had surgery on Wednesday to repair a broken bone in his left hand. Turfiaf sustained the injury during the Wizards game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, Jan. 1. 

The 6-foot-10 Turiaf is expected to be out of the Wizards lineup for five to six weeks.  

Turiaf was acquired by the Wizards, along with a 2013 second round pick and cash considerations, from the New York Knicks along with a 2012 second round pick from the Dallas Mavericks.
