Final Crisis: Rogues’ Revenge, No. 1, DC Comics ($3.99)

The Flash just hasn’t been the same since Jeff Johns left to work on Green Lantern, etc. But due to popular demand, he’s back for a 3-issue curtain call on the character that made his career. If this one does well, hopefully Johns can be enticed to come back and write some more regular Flash for us somewhere down the line….

Zot: Complete Black & White Stories TP from Harper Collins

Zot: Complete Black & White Stories TP, Harper Collins ($24.95)

Before he was an international household name due to the worldwide publication of Understanding Comics, Scott McCloud was just a simple indy cartoonist, best known for his 1980s series Zot. At a time when everything else was grim and gritty, Zot was thoughtful, charming, and even beautiful. Sadly, the 1990s reprints of Zot ended before the best stories were collected—but here they are for your reading pleasure.

Greg Bennett is the Owner/Manager of Big Planet Comics, a chain of pop art specialty stores in the DC Metro area with locations in Georgetown, Bethesda, Vienna, & College Park.
