Some 237 costumed comic fans arrived at the Capitol reflecting pool on April 18, 2014, in a failed attempt to set a Guinness World Record for largest group of people dressed as comic book characters in one place.
Awesome Con D.C. and the Museum of Science Fiction attempt to break a world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as comic book characters at the U.S. Capitol Reflecting Pool on Friday, April 18. The current record holder is China; which stands at 1,530 people, set on April 19, 2011 at the opening ceremony of the International Animation CCJOY LAND.
