Winchester Homes is building 31 single-family homes on sites of one-third to one-half acre at Oakton Valley in the Oakton-Vienna area of Fairfax County. The lots are on a series of cul-de-sacs to eliminate through traffic in the community.
Each of the seven models includes a brick or stone front, a brick entry stoop, and a side-entry two-car garage.
Inside, each home features four bedrooms; up to three full and two half baths; hardwood flooring in the powder room, kitchen and foyer; crown and chair-rail moldings; a brick fireplace; a kitchen with a Jenn-Air cooktop and 42-inch cabinets; a luxury master bath with a soaking tub and separate shower; two-zone gas heat; and high-technology wiring.
The homes range in size from 3,096 to 4,502 finished square feet, with base prices from $595,000 to $718,000.
The James model, with 3,842 square feet, is priced from $631,000. This home features a grand two-story entrance flanked by the living room and dining room, each defined by decorative columns. To the rear is a family room with a fireplace, a study with glass doors that have a transom window above, a large breakfast room, and a center-island kitchen with a walk-in pantry and adjacent laundry room.
Upstairs, the master bedroom includes a sitting room, two walk-in closets, a dressing area and a luxury bath. The second and third bedrooms share a hall bath, while the fourth bedroom has a private bath.
Options on this model include a sun room with a tray ceiling adjacent to the breakfast room or the living room, and a walk-in closet over the garage. Other options include Winchester Homes' "Custom Design Program," which allows buyers complete design changes, and a finished lower level, a sun room and a deck.
