The planned community of King Farm offers its residents a location within walking distance of the Shady Grove Metro station; a community center with a pool; outdoor tennis courts; walking trails; and a future village center with shops and restaurants. Now Centex Homes is building 59 traditional garage town houses in this Montgomery County community.

Each home will include a brick front, brick walkways, a brick-and-wrought-iron privacy fence and a two-car garage.

Both models feature three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, 9-foot ceilings on all three finished levels, a lower-level recreation room and a private bath and walk-in closet in the master-bedroom suite.

The homes each have 2,000 finished square feet, with base prices from $253,990 to $256,990.

The Townsend model, priced from $253,990, features a midlevel or lower-level entrance, a step-up living room and open dining room off the foyer and a center-island kitchen open to the den and the breakfast room.

Upstairs, the second and third bedrooms share a hall bath, while the master suite has a private bath with an optional soaking tub and separate shower.

The Ferguson model, priced from $256,990, features an English basement on the lower level, which includes a recreation room and garage. A columned front portico entrance leads to the midlevel entrance, which has a powder room off the foyer, a breakfast room with a bay window in the front of the house, a central kitchen, an open living room and dining room with an optional three-sided fireplace, three bedrooms, two full baths and a laundry room upstairs.

Options available include a fourth-level bedroom with a full bath and double dormer windows on the Townsend plan, bay windows, tray ceilings and fireplaces.
