Masonry Homes will build 46 houses on lots of at least 1.35 acres at Fairwinds in Ijamsville, which overlooks the Holly Hills Country Club in Maryland. Ten minutes from historic Frederick's antiques stores and art galleries, Fairwinds also is near several golf courses and parks.
Each home in this Frederick County community will have maintenance-free vinyl siding and a two-car garage. Brick fronts and side-loading garages are optional.
All 12 models will include three to five bedrooms, 2* to 3* baths, a family room or great room, upgraded insulation, category 5 prewiring, Berber carpet, and gas heat and hot water. Some homes include a first-floor master suite, a library, a two-story foyer or a first-floor laundry room.
The homes range in size from 1,800 to 3,000 finished square feet with base prices from $260,300 to $299,700. The Manchester A Plus model, with 3,000 square feet, is priced from $299,400. This home features a front porch leading to the foyer, which is flanked by the living and dining rooms, each of which has crown or chair-rail moldings.
At the rear of the house is a spacious family room and an open kitchen, which has a breakfast area with a bay window and an entrance to the garage. Adjacent to the kitchen is a powder room with an optional laundry room attached. Adjacent to the family room is the first-floor master suite, which has a cathedral ceiling, a walk-in closet, a dressing area and a full bath.
The second level features a second master suite with a walk-in closet and private bath, and three additional bedrooms with another full bath.
Options include a 14-by-20-foot sun room addition, a finished lower level, fireplaces and a luxury master bath.
