Probe owners plan barbecue tomorrow

The East Side Probe Owners Club is hosting its fifth annual barbecue tomorrow in Dunkirk, Md.

The event, which begins at 11 a.m., is open to Probe owners as well as drivers of the Mazda MX6, 626 and Protege. Food (all you can eat for $5) will be served at noon and a football game begins at 1 p.m.

The barbecue is being held in Dunkirk District Park, 10750 Southern Maryland Blvd., in Calvert County.

Chrysler Club show scheduled Sunday

The 14th annual “Chrysler Product Owners Club Car Show” will be held Sunday at Manassas Chrysler-Jeep in Northern Virginia.

The show, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., is open to all Chrysler products, past and present, including Dodge, DeSoto, Imperial and Plymouth, as well as all AMC/Jeep/Eagle vehicles. However, street rods are excluded.

Admission is free.

The dealership is located at 8100 Centerville Road (Route 28) in Manassas.

Take Interstate 66 west to Exit 53A.

Gaithersburg cruise-in every Wednesday

The Silver Diner in Gaithersburg is hosting a classic car cruise-in each Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. until Labor Day.

Owners are invited to show off their classic vehicles and spectators can inspect them free of charge.

The weekly cruise-in is held in the parking lot of the restaurant, which is located on Russell Avenue.

All-GM show slated Aug. 13 in Rockville

An all-GM show is planned for Aug. 13 on the campus of Montgomery College in Rockville.

The 31st annual event will be hosted by local Buick and Oldsmobile clubs.

It will be held rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m..

Registration at the gate will be $15 for the peer judging in 14 classes.

Spectators will be admitted free to the show, which will include a flea market.

The Montgomery College campus is located at 51 Mannakee St., Rockville.

Times show slated for Sept. 4 this year

The 17th “Out of the Past Revue,” hosted by The Washington Times, will be held this year on Sept. 4 at the Spring Hill Recreation Center in McLean.

The show field is open only to vehicles that have appeared in Vern Parker’s “Out of the Past” column in the AutoWeekend section.

The free event begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m., with winning vehicles chosen by popular vote of those attending.
