Skins Report

- The Washington Times - Tuesday, August 14, 2007

As Todd Wade missed practice for the first time while he tries to switch from right tackle to left guard, Joe Jacoby, of all people, showed up to watch for the first time this summer.

Jacoby, who made four Pro Bowls at left tackle in 13 years with Washington, had to adjust to right tackle once Jim Lachey was acquired in 1988. Jacoby then played some left guard in 1991 and 1992 before retiring after the 1993 season.

It's a tough adjustment, Jacoby said of Wade, who would be the NFL's tallest guard. It's not the mental aspect. He knows what to do. It's the physical part.

Sinclair led the Illini in tackles his final two seasons and spent the past two springs in NFL Europa. However, that experience hasn't moved him ahead of rookies H.B. Blades and Kevin Jones on the depth chart behind starting middle linebacker London Fletcher.
