Last night at Verizon Center:
SEEN AND HEARD
For anyone ready to hold a coronation for the Wizards, coach Eddie Jordan had a few words.
It may have been a coaching move, but when he was asked before the game how the Wizards stack up to the Suns, Jordan didn’t make it out to be close. He began by saying the Suns don’t mirror the Wizards.
“Their size is better than ours. They have more playmakers than we do, and I think they are more athletic than we are,” Jordan said. “They have the style that they have been playing for a couple of years, and they are very good. They’re much better than we are.”
BY THE NUMBERS
23 Assists by the Suns in the first half. The Wizards have failed to reach 23 assists in an entire game 26 times this season.
