The Stimulus Plan we need is an ultra-high powered, extra-large CATTLE PROD for the backsides of do-nothing legislators. Specifically for those standing in the way of domestic energy production. I propose 200,000 volts each for the foot-draggers on drilling for oil and natural gas, for those stalling the construction of new nuclear power plants, and for those refusing to allow increased oil refining capacity. Shocking, you say? Hardly. That’s less than one volt for every new job these industries would create. I would give Pelosi and Reid the honor of standing first in line for their Stimulus Package.

The previous stimulus package had nothing to do with the economies growth rate of 1.9%. This is like saying the gas additive gave you better gas mileage when in reality your speed over a tank full of gas was different than the previous, either that or you bought a new set of diamond earrings. The Democrats want a reelection package to cover for their ineffectiveness over the past four years, take peoples minds off of gas prices (because pretty soon they are going to reach the minimum wage the Democrats passed) and Obama's first objective of his energy plan to create more energy by reducing carbon emissions 80% by 2050.

What a farce. Pelosi worries that tax "rebate checks" will add to the deficit but doesn't worry that the other spending she proposes to "stimulate" the econonmy will not? She had no problem adding that $168 billion in tax rebate checkes to the deficit this year making it the biggest deficit ever (by the way, congratulations Congress on at leas one "accomplishment" in setting a new record). The real reason she is balking at another tax rebate is that she does not want to go into this election with the tacit acknowledgement that cutting taxes is good for the economy. But its too late. Ronald Wilson Pelosi has already claimed that cutting taxes by that $168 billion has added 2% to the growth rate. And if it has been so good for the economy then she should move to make her "stimulating" tax cuts permanent. After all, that would add 2% growth every year would it not? It would also make the coming tax increases they have planned for next year a tougher sale since if cutting taxes, which is what the tax rebate was albeit very temporary, helps the econonmy then raising taxes would certainly hurt the economy.

"There is no question we would like a second stimulus package — we think the economy needs it" The economy doesn't need it, but the Democrats sure do as Obama's poll numbers keep falling more and more. As does the polls for Congress itself, and guess who's in charge of Congress? This is just a bribe for votes and approval, nothing more and nothing less. Even Obama knows this, which is why he's on-board. To bad America isn't as dumb as the Democrats believe and we see right through this transparent attempt to buy our approval, and with our own money! Talk about arrogance! Congress, get off your collective asses, stop trying to bribe America, and GET BACK TO WORK! You're lucky I'm not in charge. I'd fire the whole lot of you and start over.

Ok, so the first SP did nothing for me because I make too much. Why would I want to forcefully donate billions more? Stop the freebie handouts to the select masses, and cut taxes to the people that make the money. Cut the welfare system back, and force people to work for their money. Hell, I have weeds to pull in my yard, and yet millions are sitting on their collective fat while I send them a free check for watching Ophra. What?

This is ridiculous a few extra dollars in our checks what is thAt suppose to do?The stimulus rebate we got in 2008 was a big help to the people, I dont understand what Pres Obama thinks a few extra dollars $10.00 to $20.00 will amount to anything on our paychecks are going to help...Thats a joke a tax cut...signed...Concerned
