Well, there you go. The difference between a leader and a politician. It is as plain as day. McCain was a leader when it came to the surge (an idea he promoted), right on taxes, right on drilling for oil---what has B.O. been right on? Doing some "blow"? Buying that property from Rezko? Going to that Church of Hate for 20 years? What? So far, I have seen nothing. He was FORCED into accepting offshore drilling--why?--because the polls said he needed to! End of story.

LOL!!! It was only a matter of time, wasn't it? Like the TV ad says ... "Barack Obama: Whatever the Politics Demand". I notice how he's still trying to straddle the fence and not pi$$ off his moonbat base by saying that he only supports "limited drilling." The 'ol Obama two-step. How anyone can be guillabe enough to believe anything that comes out of this clown's mouth is beyond me.

Obama accepts offshore drilling? Mr. Obama welcomed the gang of 10 proposal? The last time I checked he was part of the Senate, not head of it. Someone needs to tell him that a President is voted into office, not cheered into office. Left full rudder, right full rudder, all engines back emergency. Man overboard. Obama is giving orders like a boot ensign.

Obama flops again. Or maybe flips. It's hard to tell these days, with so much of both. Hillary must be livid! Let's see... Then: All troops out of Iraq in 16 months. Now: Residual forces to stay as long as the generals say so. Residual being 30-60 thousand. Unless more are needed according to situation on the ground. Isn't that what John McCain has been saying all along. Then: NO DRILLING. Ever. Now: Obama accepts offshore drilling Seems, on issue after issue, the conservatives are right. Again. As usual. Welcome to our world -- the world of logic and sanity. Move over MoveOn.

The chameleon changes his colors once again to to have it both ways. This guy is so desperate to become President he'll do and say anything. What happened to tuning your car and inflating your tires. Guess that plan was stupid and ridiculous to the average adult. So how about drilling in Alaska too? This guy is such a phony. Does he believe in anything?

That headline is exactly what The Marxist hoped for. He "accepted" nothing. Has the Wa. Times become yet another left wing raq not worth reading?

Taxing the oil companies is not right! In his News conference this morning, he compared how much the oil companies make in 30 min, that regular folks make in a lifetime, well, that can be applied to IBM, Toyota Inc and countless other Top 500 Corporations. The oil issue is supply & demand. If we started to drill, you will see the Future Market for Oil turn downward, because the Future Contract Investor is not wanting to hold a long term contract and risk lossing alot of money, once we(USA) show promise/success in the off shore drilling. That will help but still it comes to Supply & Demand.. Look at all the emerging markets across the Globe, India, China, South America, Asia.. all these countries are advancing their infrastructure, technlogy & their standard of living is going UP!! What does that mean - it means they will consume more, consume more food, demand more leisure items, consume more energy, more wood for building, more gas for heating..etc...so, you have to find more energy to support the Global Economies that are increasing their standard of living.

Hussein reminds of a song that part of went, "Clippyty clopping along." Now we have the new version, "Flippyty flopping along." A person with no core values. If you believe in what you say then stick to it.

Isn't that just typical of most Democrats. First they create a huge crisis with their loony policies then comes the severe hardships energy costs are creating for Americans and finally, here come the Democrats riding to the rescue with relief rebate checks funded by your tax dollars. Their stock in trade is to create dependencies so they can provide relief for them and create new voting blocs. Unbelievabel (and disgusting).

its disheartening to see the american people deceived by such an obvious ploy. america doesn't drill for oil. this isn't russia or venezuela or any of the arab nations. unlike them, we haven't nationalized our oil extraction infrastructure. therefore, more drilling doesn't mean drilling. it means leasing more of our nation's dwindling resources to the multinational oil companies. the same oil companies that AREN'T EVEN DRILLING most of the leased areas they now control. the exxon execs are probably howling with glee as now both candidates have totally flip flopped on this issue. if this must be done, these should be leases with severe time limits on development, a "use it or lose it" type of clause. further any proceeds from these leases should be directed towards renewable energy sources such as the wind power initiative t boone pickens is proposing. our dependence on oil is the gravest matter of national security. our enemies have lots of it and we have little. we must end the addiction. to not recognize this simple fact is madness.

Obama has captitulated and now it is time for Republicans to press the issue (and win the November election big time) Republicans need to call upon Obama to display his leadership (if any) and get Congress to act on his "urgent need to lower gas prices" by reconvening NOW and acting on Obama's words. All Republicans will support this move and campaign against those Democrats who would rather vacation while the public suffers

dont buy it everyone! this is simply to get votes. AS SOON AS HE IS IN OFFICE (not!!!) HE WILL CHANGE HIS POSITION BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW THIS IS NOT HOW HE TRULY FEELS. this and more insults to our basic intelligence is why obama should never be president. he is a blatent LIAR and thinks WHATEVER he tells us we are to drink it up and stop complaining - - - as long as we vote for him... IT IS THIS ARROGANCE THAT IS HIS DOWNFALL!!!!

Obama is easy to fault but at least now we now know he can do the right thing when properly guided. Unfortunately, follow the leader is not an attribute that we need in a President.
