The people of Massachusetts foolishly elected a friend of Obama's as their governor. One of his first acts was to trade the Mitt Romney's Ford Crown Victoria for a Cadillac Escalade. From there it was all down hill with one new tax idea after another. Governor Patrick offered Mass. residents a taste of what Obama's Kool Aid will be like.

Guess that whole Obama Tour '08 thing pretty much backfired, eh B. Hussein? Kerry made the same mistake - Americans react very negatively when Europeans like our Presidential candidates. When it comes to politics, if Euros are for it, it's safe bet for an American to be against it considering the sorry state of Euro economics and pseudo-socialism. Also like Kerry, the military clearly dislikes Obama. Likely because every American enemy on the planet would vote B. Hussein if they could; that also was the case with Kerry. This is NOT rocket science Mr. Dean, Americans are not as stupid as you would like. You and Soros can toss all the money you like at electing a socialist as US President, you'll hand it to the GOP every time. A liar like Hillary would have been tougher to beat. Heh....ooops.

The Eurotrip was a Baracklash. What freakin candidate gives a speech to a bunch of Eurotrash and bathe in their adulation before he even won?!! A candidate for the US Presidency should put his country first above anyone and anything else. This guy is such an arrogant tool. It would be a thing of beauty to see this guy lose all 50 states. The reaction of the liberal media would be worth it.

It is difficult to imagine why Americans would be turned off by a friendly reception of European countries to Obama. What is absolutely wrong with the Republican mindset of Bush is his arrogance in the face of world opinion. America has been diminished by his attitude. I am sick to death of stupid American policy which acts like we are the only people on the planet...we are important but the world resents self-important countries just as people despise self-important people.

It's one thing to tour Europe and speak to foreign leaders and another thing to make a speech at a historic site in order to get attention. And then to criticize the US to a bunch of Germans. Does that even make sense? If you're running for the office of the US Presidency it's common sense not to criticize the country to a bunch of foreigners. You can criticize it to US CITIZENS which is appropriate but not to other countries. If you can't understand that then you'll never get it. Bush has exactly the right attitude, meaning he places this country first and foremost above everything else. His policies may not be good but his attitude is completely justified. He has a responsibility to protect this country's interest and its people with or without foreign aid or consent. That is his job. That is what he swore to when he took the oath of Presidency.

And why shouldn't Americans react against politicians who hold up Europeans as models of behavior for Americans to follow. Europe gave the world 500 years of colonialism and slavery. In the 20th century Europe gave the world totalitarianism, fascism, communism, nazism, and 120 million dead. Europeans would be united today if not for the U.S.A., either speaking German under a Nazi regime or Russian under a Communist regime. Is that any place to begin an American political campaign? Only if one goes to a military cemetary and bows and give thanks to the American GIs buried in Europe and loudly proclaims, "never again!"

Finally the American People are waking up to this fraud known as Obama. The Elitist Harvard lawyer is back-tracking daily. Name and issue - he has flipped or flopped. Yeah, the Euro-trip was a fiasco, but B.O.'s comment that he didn't look like all those other guys on the dollar bills hurt him badly. Playing the race card was a monumental mistake and you could see his campaign implode like a bad souffle when a door slams. Then flipping and flopping on everything from troop withdrawals to energy policy hurt him again. This guy is no President. The left is now so obviously invested in American failure that any good news is devastating. Oil prices beginning to fall due to McCain's statements on drilling, victory in Iraq, an economy that continues to grow modestly and avoid recession, the disgrace of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and their appalling approval rating in Congress, all are bad news for B.O. and the left. When America succeeds it hurts the Democrats who are 100% invested in America's failure, and America's bad image abroad is mother's milk to them.

abash- We have many allies in Europe so it's a fine place to start a campaign as it helps a candidate boost credibility amoung those he might eventually work with. Europe might well have been united and speaking one language today. The language would have been Arabic. The French, most notably Charles Martel, prevented that. You are right that many Europeans did leave awful legacies, but some moved away to start afresh and lead new lives. So they stole a country, killed many of the indigenous people, conducted witch hunts and executions, bought and sold slaves, had a civil war,... That was a long time ago thoug. We have a wonderful country now that can even be made better. - I was going to vote for McCain. Honest to goodness. I read about him though. If you haven't already, please look into McCain's health care plan. It's unbelievably bad. The middle east is problematic yet he confuses Sunnis with Shiites. He supports outsourcing our jobs,... Read how his incompetance in the service cost the lives of 132 Americans and injured 62 others. I was going to vote for him but after reading about him, I can't. He is not a good man.

When even the lefties in Massachusetts are abandoning this sinking ship, then you know it's bad news for Saint Obama.

Can you say "Freefall"? Obama is going down faster than the Travelocity dwarf going off that cliff in Acapulco. To 50general---you cited one gaffe by McCain (that old Sunni/Shiite slip that most Americans are also guilty of) when Obama has made DOZENS of gaffes including not knowing HOW MANY STATES THERE ARE IN THE U.S.! McCain's health care plan, I can guarantee you, does not include national health, which would be a DISASTER, such as waiting a year to get an appendectomy. If you think McCain would outsource jobs, wait until an Obama Presidency----businesses and jobs trying so hard to get out of the country it will look the South Vietnamese trying to climb aboard those helicopters during the fall of Saigon.

I am glad that Teddy is putting his health before stumping for BHO. I really do not believe that JFK would agree with the BHO candidacy. It is not an age issue but an experience issue. While Pres. Kennedy was only a lower grade officer and never an admiral, he was a human warrior that understood responsibility. He was not a swift boater, served his country and politcally came up through the ranks. BHO has very limited experience, does not understand strategic power and like a lawyer (failed professional attorney) talks from both ends(or sides) passing a lot of gas without much substance.
