Goodby independent American truckers you soon may be history. Be sure to take pictures, you have been sold out. Goodby, injury lawyer's chance of collecting in accident cases. They will first have to deal with the Mexican Government, U.S. State Department ETC. Forget, truck inspections if the Mexican government objects or begins jailing American truckers on their side of border. Safety inspections may go away for Mexican trucks even if their are laws which say they may exist. When expenses are low, really low, how can American Truckers exist at all, not.
Globalism is always predicated on how its benefits, and not its downsides.
Cheaper labor means employers capture the benefit, not consumers.
So tell me, why should I be required to buy insurance and maintain my vehicle so that it is safe?
After all, Mexican truck drivers are not required. So some crappy truck causes an accident. What happens? Do I have to go to Mexico and deal with their corrupt judicial system? Is George W. Bush going to look after American's interests? Based on his last 7.5 years in office, I doubt it.
I have to wonder how many palms are getting greased.
