WHOA--WHIPLASH! I think I just pulled a muscle in my neck watching B.O. changing his position. Watch out everyone---better get a neck brace if you follow this guy. It could hurt---well, Obama, anyway. He is in FREE-FALL.B.O. lost 14 percentage points in Massachusetts alone.MASSACHUSETTS! Ted Kennedy's state! People are getting wise to this empty suit. He is self-destructing. Playing the race card, then apologizing to McCain---oops, Sorry! Another "bone-headed" move on B.O.'s part, like doing "blow" and entering into corrupt real estate deals with the crook Rezko.(To say nothing about being a Marxist!Yeah, that's right---a MARXIST!Check it out, the dude is a Marxist. Read his book. He ADMITS IT!)

He is playing the role of a politician. When polls are down and the people are screaming for drilling, he'll pretend to advocate "some" drilling with conditions, meaning more BS. If congress approves it he'll say I was for it. If not he can also say I was against it. He's for and against everything. He's for pulling out the troops but for them to stay as well. He's for higher taxes but also lower taxes. He's for slavery reparation and against it because it's not "enough." Anyone dumb enough to believe this used car saleman shouldn't even call themselves a mature adult. With that said McCain is a disingenuous person who is basically a liberal now pretending to be conservative. Wouldn't be surprised if both Obama & McCain were getting contributions from George Soros in order to get a liberal into the white house. How McCain even won the Republican nomination is a mystery since I don't know of a single conservative who likes him.

Nobama said several days ago that the only way he would tap the Strategic Petroleum Reserve is in an emergency. I guess he sees his plummeting poll numbers as an emergency. This empty suit chameleon is a joke and I am glad to see Americans finally catching up to this loony liberal. Republicans, go for the shutdown because most voters are tuned into the truth about Democrats. This includes the wicked witch of the west (Pelosi from sanctuary city) and that bought off hack from Nevada named Reed. By the way, Nobama is already putting some caveats on his OCS drilling stand that he took just two days ago. What a loser this guy is! If he keeps "changing", by next week he will come out with more tax cuts, a pro life stance, etc.

It is good to see a person so limber to allow his flip-flopping on issues so readily. Perhaps as a person hoping to occupy the executive seat, absolutely could learn to research his positions, his 'change' agenda and make more precise statements instead of generalizations. But as his training has produced (failed attorney) he commonly produces opinions that have been either misspoken or miscontrued by the press in their quest to elect BHO. No BHO will never be an executive seat holder, if he is then only for 1 term like Carter. He is not top managenment material! NOBAMA

Obama and the Dems are in trouble on Energy. Obama has captulated on many energy provisions but he seems unable to bring Democrats around. President Bush should recall congress to get them to act on energy, the issue that is causing Americans to suffer. Additionally, the Dems whine that it will take 10 years to see any of this oil from drilling, while they have been preventing drilling for more than 10 years.

Our strategic petroleum reserves are there for a reason - national security seems to come immediately to mind. But of course Dems don't have a clue about national security, silly me. Leave our reserves alone, that's a limited, short-term tactic that will yield only very temporary and minimal results; absolutely the worst of all possible responses except doing nothing. Drill now, drill often. The first issued off shore drilling license will impact oil prices just as much, and subsequent licenses will continue to push the commodities market for oil down. Oh, that's right, Dems don't have the first clue about economics either...uhoh...

`ARE YOU OBAMA SUPPORTERS REALLY TUNED IN???? - this man has been doing everything in his power (and he's not even president) to mke sure america is left vulnerable to the apron of the MIDDLE EAST>>>> why???????????? who thinks he hit a bump by not visiting Our troops? when you plan such a trip your itinerary is set in stone - YOU KNOW WHAT IS WHAT BEFORE YOU REACH THERE. IMO, IT WAS INTENTIONAL, AND A MESSAGE TO HIS MIDDLEEAST PEOPLE THAT HE IS WITH THEM!!! LISTEN PEOPLE.... I MEAN REALLY LISTEN TO THIS GUY.... it will motivate you to fight for this country the way we did for our independence from England. This is the time that Americans are called upon to help fight and keep our country in tact. obama is a disaster and he's telling you loud and clear... PLEASE LISTEN. I AM SURE WHEN YOU REALLY TUNE IN, YOUR ACTIONS WILL BE A NO-BRAINER.

McCain has also flip-flopped on this issue - he was distinctly against offshore drilling in the 2000 campaign, and is now for it. I'm interested in the statement "Republicans ridiculed Obama for suggesting they keep their tires inflated"; which Republicans, and do they disagree that this is a useful way of slightly increasing fuel efficiency of a car? We are at a stage of these elections that both candidates will probably change their stance on things to improve their chances in November. It was around this time in 2000 that Bush was speaking in favor of gun control. Just for fun: Obama Flip-flops: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0708/11535.html McCain Flip-flops: http://howinsaneisjohnmccain.blogspot.com/2008/03/mccain-never-met-position-he-didnt-like.html

Let's cut the BS. As far as offshore and Alaska: Drill here! Drill now!

I hardly think McCain changing his position from EIGHT YEARS AGO when there was no gasoline EMERGENCY, to now when there is one can be considered a "Flip Flop"! My God, if there ever was a need for "adjusting to the situation on the ground" it would be now. A candidate who is Presidential evolves over a DECADE. But B.O. cannot be pinned down from one day to the next, one hour to the next, and perpetually has his finger in the wind, shifting perilously as each advisor tells him what to do and say---that is the essence of "Flip Flop" and it is indicative of a candidate who cannot lead, but only follow. As for B.O.'s comment about "inflating tires and getting a tune-up", it is a cruel insult to the middle and lower class in this country when they have to pay $70+ to fill up their tanks each week to be told to "put air in your tires" to save that money! What kind of idiot does he think the American voter is!? We get that he (and the Dems) WANT GAS TO STAY HIGH and will do nothing about it. They think a weak and poor America helps their cause in November. Well, Americans do not want that at all. We need a leader to fix things, not exploit them.

bad judgement on display yet again from obama??? WE ARE NOT EVEN IN A DEPRESSION. WHY WOULD WE EXPOSE OURSELVES AND BE VOLUNERABLE THE MIDDLE EAST? WHY WOULDNT WE WANT TO BE SELF-SUFFICIENT? ARE WE TO ASK THE MIDDLEEAST FOR ENERGY IN ORDER TO FIGHT THE MIDDLEEAST? THIS MAN OBAMA MAKES NO SENSE OR HE IS PURPOSELY TRYING TO MAKE THIS COUNTRY DEPENDENT ON THE MIDDLE EAST, AND I FIND THIS VERY, VERY DISTURBING. I put obama's other comments from the past and i see a pattern that favors pleasing the middleeast and doing what pleases the middlest and what puts money in their pockets.

WHY REMAIN IN DEBT TO AN ENEMY? IF YOU HAVE GROCERIES IN YOUR KITCHEN WHY WOULD YOU BORROW FROM YOUR ENEMY AND RISK BEING POISENED? THIS LOGIC OF OBAMA'S MAKES NO SENSE TO AMERICANS - - OR DOES IT? MAYBE THIS IS WHY HE HAS TAKEN A DIVE IN POLLS.... MAYBE FINALLY, EVEN SOME OF HIS SUPPORTERS HAVE HAD ENOUGH.

It's not just a matter of flip flopping, it's the vulnerabilities in the decision process that are being assessed by world leaders who are not necessarily amenable to U.S. economic and political primacy. How do Putin, Medvedev, Jintao, Ahmadinejad, and Chavez plan to leverage this lack of internally consistent principles?

A leader doesn't follow the polls - just the opposite. When McCain flipped on drilling, polls did not indicate so many Americans supported drilling. Now that McCain has been pushing drilling the polls have started showing Americans agree with him and disagree with Obama. Obama at first insisted on holding firm but as the polls swung against him he is all of a sudden changing his position. Now he says he has done so "because consumers are suffering". Where has Obama been the last two years since Democrats took over Congress and oil prices have skyrocketed? Could it be that what is suffering is Obama's poll numbers? So now Obama appears to be following his own leader and that guy happens to be named McCain. So if Obama is following McCain, why should we vote for Obaman instead of McCain? Note to Michigan - The US auto industry did not just start having problems the last two years. Could there be some other reason all the new auto plants in the US seem to not locate in your high tax, high regulation, business unfriendly pro-union state? Did you ever wonder why all these new auto plants have been built down here in the South instead of in Michigan?
