ZUMWALT: Chavez's Harvey

There is a subtlety behind Chavez's "Harvey" that is being promoted by the Russians. They are preparing for a potential perfect energy storm. They are building in Chavez the confidence to support "Harvey" and potentially cut off oil to the U.S. While the Democrats in the Congress are tying up all local energy sources and Obama is trying to tap the Elk Hills reserve, and Iran is threatening to block the Straits of Hormuz, Russia has the potential of controlling all energy sources in Europe. They have tested natural gas as a political weapon in the past and combined with oil shortages, they have a Jesse Jackson type opportunity of political intimidation and the U.S. has no resources to assist Europe with.

Chavez is just another hack in a long line of south of the border dictators. His own country will soon throw him out. As far as Russia's participation in this drama, they should consider that those type of actions would be considered an act of war. Despite all of Putin's KGB living in the past bluster, they no longer have the muscle to back it up. If we have a President with "stones" in office (read McCain), should this come to pass, this dog won't hunt.
