We have more choices than just Obama and McSame, we have Nader, Barr, and also Chuck Baldwin!
I think this article shows that Americans have good sense and choose the right person in the end. I think that self-agrandizing trip B.O.took to Europe started to open people's eyes. But his policies are frightening. As more and more truth comes out about, not only this guy's politics and viewpoint, but the fact that he has been bought and paid for by the Daley Chicago Machine the more you will see his numbers drop. McCain may not be perfect, but he has the most important attribute of all---he puts America first.
McCain clearly does not put America first. If he did, he would be explaining to us his policies and how are they are supposed to fix our country's problems. The only things I've seen from McCain are petty attacks (read "celebrity" ad series) and lies about Obama's policy (so far, mainly tax policy).
McCain has a complete set of programs for the future. One is an all inclusive energy policy that endorses using our natural resources such as oil, gas, solar, wind, nuclear, and alternative energy sources. These would expand jobs and keep dollars here in the USA.

McCain offers a plan for adding new jobs.

Too bad RPISean believes the Obama lies about wanting change.
Obama wants to put more troops in Afghanistan to drag out that war.
Obama opposes term limits to protect entrenched politicos.
Obama wants to increase Social Security taxes.
Obama wants to increase income taxes.
Obama said in a nation demo TV debate that he would almost double capital gains taxes to 29% from 15%.
Obama wants to keep citizens dependent on government programs and not be able to break the cycle of dependency.
In Obama's community organizing he worked to get marginal benefits for public housing residents and did nothing to help them get out of the projects.
Isn't it a shame that the best this country could come up with for president of this great country are Obama and McCain?
It was the media that picked Obama and it was the media that picked McCain because if Obama loses, Democrats and Independents can live with RINO McCain.
If we Republicans had had a true conservative running for president, he/she would have swept the entire country.
Once again, we are left with voting for the lesser of two evils (which is what got us into this mess in the first place).
Now what must be decided is, do we want this country to go down hill under a Democrat president or under a Republican president, because down it will go, except under this Republican president, it will go down a bit slower.
How sad.
McCain is what the GOP deserves. After years and years of relying on wedge issues to dominate the race the American Republican voters elected McCain as the only sane choice. This choice will pave the future path of the party and it is a centrist path.
Say goodbye to the righteous, the neocons and this generation of bigots. It may come as a surprise but McCaine is the wave of our future.
Wasting you vote on a 3rd party candidate is your choice, but it makes no sense to me. I don't think we can take the chance that a split GOP will ensure a victory for B. Hussein.
I admit that this is the first time I'm voting against a Presidential candidate rather than for the candidate of my choice. Personally, I think this McCain candidacy is the GOP's payback for McCain eventually helping Bush win in 04. If so, what a horrible deal they got.
I agree with the poster below who said that the media is picking our candidates. That has GOT to change. But the even bigger problem we have to fix is our 10% approval rated Congress. Most of those hacks have to go, now.
Being against a marxist doesn't make one a bigot if he's black mydoghunts. Take that tired B. Hussein strategy back to the DNC.
I live in Arizona. Arizona has traditionally been a Conservative state. It is the home state of Barry Goldwater and Sandra Day O'Connor. While it is not as Conservative as it once was, McCain will win this state over Obama by double digits. McCain is beloved by Arizona, and, while no politician is perfect, Arizona will vote for McCain because he represents the heart and soul of the state---Independent-minded,fiscally tough,Integrity Always First, loyal to country and our Constitution, gets things done, experienced, and as good as his word. McCain will win in November because he did it the old-fashioned way---HE EARNED IT.
This article brings us the newsflash that GOP Chairs and Communication Directors in several states are trying their damnedest to spin polls that show the GOP in DEEP trouble are really saying that McSame has a chance.
Thanks for the misleading headline, Times.
If you don't want an elite Marxist running our nation (I use the term running loosely), hold your nose and vote McCain...that simple...it's really not about how you feel about Mr. McCain, unfortunately...it's about how you feel about BHO...and I'm getting the idea he makes a LOT of people feel uneasy, for one reason or another...the race card the Demos play is the only real card they have in their deck (white guilt)...I really hope Mr. McCain has people reading these articles and comments...he needs to stay "on the attack" and keep putting the word out about BHO...most of America does NOT want a Marxist for President, but they need to be reminded about BHO's policies; Americans are busy people (unlike Europeans that sit around all day on someone else's euro)...let American's know the real deal and they will take care of business!
Obama is slipping fast in the polls.
The Democrats will have a problem with Hillary during the Convention as she is going to try to push Obama out of the nomination because he is slipping so in the polls. I really will not make a difference because the Democrats have made their mistakes and John McCain is benefiting from them.
Example,, Obama's trip overseas which never should have been allowed until after the election should he have won.
This has probably cost him a very good chance of being elected, now John McCain will prevail.
Please do not get overconfident.
I have always voted Democrat. I even voted for Obama for Senator. It wasn't until he ran for President that I started looking at his record and positions on the record. I do not listen to his speeches, which are mostly words meant to stir up emotion, I read. People seem to get swept away by his speeches, some of what he says would bring change this country does not need.
He is to far left for this country, there is no doubt in my mind at all on that. He is so far left that he has opened my eyes to the new Democrat party, this time I am looking at the candidates for all the elections closer then just the party and planning to vote Republican for the majority of them.
This is terrible journalism. Did you run out of real news to report? The article should be called "People who support McCain, support McCain".
The people who are interviewed aren't even centrist -- state Republican chairs and "Reagan Democrats"? Give me a break.
And there's not any attempt to specify what policies are "too far left" -- just the repeated assertion that Obama is it. The author needs remedial courses in basic journalistic ethics.
