It doesn't have to be that difficult. All they need to do is amend the contract with the airlines or the ticket agency and set up an appropriation to cover the costs. It should be turnkey for the soldier and the soldiers should be informed of the regulation. The military has programs to deal with this once the soldiers, the Veterans Groups and the public mandates it. Obama and Coleman don't need to gain any more political capital.
Please, Obama's letter. What a load of BS. Does he really think he's fooling anyone? He hates America and he hates our military. He'd rather see them dead than saving a few bucks on luggage.
So, as long as it was getting passed along to the taxpayer, it was okay?
Wow, it took them a whole three days to figure out what a total PR disaster THAT policy was. Thank goodness someone in their office realized what servicemembers go thru, hopefully those that made AND tried to enforce and justified the policy will be canned immediately. Otherwise, these same individuals will just try to find another route to stick it to our servicemembers.
And as for O-Bam-A, who cares what you think? I think I will leave my opinion of his trying to throw himself in that arena, because it isn't a good one. He is just trying to gain support from the military. I know that NOBODY in our house would vote for him, we are concerned as to what he would do to our military members.
Back to the AA's policy reversal, obviously it works for us to speak out against something that is WRONG.
