I don't even know why I'm bothering. I write the same posts every time, but there seems to be a lack of seriousness in about half of this country. They seem to want "Hope" and "Change". What exactly are they hoping for? From what I've heard from Mr. Blank Resume, I'm thinking that they're hoping for SOMETHING, for NOTHING. FREE Health Care, FREE College, FREE Day Care, FREE Home Heating Oil. Everything but FREE-DOM. As far as the "CHANGE" part; change, in of itself, ain't always a good thing. If you're healthy one day, and get Cancer the next, well, that's change. Being foreclosed on; that's change. What about Global Climate Change?-(that's the new name for Global Warming because the Globe ISN'T warming)-Is Global Climate Change good? If not, why not. "People want CHANGE". That's what I hear on a daily basis. That's what the whole Obama campaign IS. I fear that people just aren't thinking this stuff through. This is the Jimmy Carter debacle all over again. As I have repeatedly said. Nobama's version of change is what you will have left in your pocket when he gets through with his economy destroying tax increases and his socialist inspired income redistribution plans. Be very careful what you wish for Americans. You might not like this moveon.org created empty suit.

Right on, Thomas Sowell. I remember John Kenneth Galbraith well; he was all-image and he fell from favor. There is a supreme irony in Sowell's reference because Galbraith came out of the JFK era, and Obama's image-makers are trying to compare Obama to JFK. Obama did get a "huge image makeover" but it isn't working, either. Not only are his views far-left, his associations questionable, and his experience totally lacking in substance, he is the epitome of shallowness. It is David Axelrod, who remade Obama's image, who is clever by half, in using words like "Hope" and "Change" and tacking up Obama's own presidential seal. The glittering generalities, as Sowell notes, are not going to work. The fact is Obama is going to lose in November.

Wake up America. Change: is it always a good thing? The Good Senator makes a lot of promises and how will he pay for those promises? hmmmm higher taxes; maybe. The liberal media is so fixated on Mr. Obama. There is the messiah movement where he is concerned. Why? Is glomming over Mr. Obama and giving him a free ride is the answer to some type of collective guilt? What troubles me is that if that is the reason for the messianic cult worship, that is offensive and racist in itself. I keep looking for substance from Mr. Obama. He talks about change but what will he change? Mr. Obama should not get a free pass. As Americans we owe it to ourselves and our children to ask of our leaders the tough questions. There should be more to Mr. Obama's statements regarding change then some slick soundbites. Where is Colin Powell when we need him?
